Q:  How much will Drivers Education Cost?

The Safe Way Driving School cost is currently $310.00 (full payment receives a $15 discount) for the required 36 hour Drivers Education Program. We have flexible payment plans that allow a student to register with a deposit of one-half and complete the classroom portion, then pay the balance prior to the start of the behind-the-wheel sessions.  We also offer online registration for our Drivers Education Program for a cost of $295.00.  For in-person registration, you can download the form, complete it, and bring it to the office to complete the registration process.

CAUTION: After you register, some schools charge additional fees to retake the classroom test, use of classroom books or cancellation of your scheduled behind-the-wheel appointment. At the Safe Way Driving School, we have never charged additional fees to retest, use books or for emergency cancellation of your scheduled appointment. We will even give you a pen and some paper when needed. Ask other schools about other charges.

Q:  Where is the SWDS located?

Our primary office and classroom is at 3847 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills Maryland. We are located inside the Iverson Mall Shopping Center. The Bojangles Restaurant is out front. The best way to reach us is to drive up the side ramp by Burlington Coat Factory, park on the back parking lot close to the middle of the lot and enter through the middle doors. After you have entered through the middle doors, come up one flight of steps, turn left, and you'll find us in Suite 101. If you get lost, ask for the PRO-50 Security Office.

Q:  Is transportation provided?

Transportation is not provided for classroom participation. However, at the Iverson Mall location, both Metro and “The Bus” run from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM at night with pick-up and stops on Branch Avenue, Iverson Street and the Forman Mills side of the Mall. Several buses go back and forth from the subway. Please call for a schedule if you need public transportation. We will pick you up for your driving appointments at no extra charge, provided you reside in our service area. This includes home, work and/or school.
