Cars on the Road

Driver Improvement Program (DIP)

The Driver Improvement Program is a 4 to 8 hour course. The class is held every Saturday (except Holiday weekends and Special Occasions).  The class starts at 2 pm.  The class is intended to provide driver rehabilitation.  The class focuses on teaching the students to improve their driving skills by reducing their driving risks by anticipating situations and making safe well-informed decisions. Such decisions are implemented based on road and environmental conditions present when completing safe driving maneuvers.  Issues discussed are traffic crashes, psychological factors, human factors, safety equipment, traffic crash techniques, and state traffic laws.

You must register, schedule, and pay for DIP classes in person.  You may register and pay in-person Monday through Friday 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  You can also call (301-423-3339) for an appointment to register.  Please remember to bring your letter from MVA and/or the Court or entity requiring completion of the DIP.
